I figured out the “millennial problem” – and it’s not exactly their own fault. Partially, yes. But it all boils down to two specific issues… I know millennials who have their act together. And I know millennials who don’t. For one, those with parents who didn’t give a crap about the law – in other words – who would reprimand their children with a good slap every once in a while – seem to be doing just fine…

The rest, not so much. The problem in these cases was/is discipline. And I wonder if these millennials will bring up their own children in the same way – without discipline.

Is it possible to discipline your children without giving them that good wack once in a while? Probably. Sure. But those who did “get it” don’t seem to have a problem with it. We knew what we did, why we did it and why our parents gave us that wack with their belt, wooden spoon or bare hand.

The whole LOLing at videos of people breaking bones or getting seriously injured, taking VIDEOS of people dying (instead of helping them) and thinking nothing of it, and/or being offended by every little thing under the sun – this is all a result of having no discipline.

When I was in my late teens and twenties and started noticing politics, NONE of my friends or acquaintances were socialists. In fact, I didn’t know ANYONE who believed in Socialism. Now I will say I don’t know if socialism was being pushed in college to the extent it is today, or even at all, because I didn’t go. My white male privilege didn’t afford that opportunity to me. I had no choice but to work full-time at eighteen – often with a part time job or two in addition. So perhaps you could fill me in if it was the same thing back then, in college, as it is now.

If not, and college was not pushing socialism the way it is these days, then that’s yet another obstacle making it difficult for millennials to function properly in the 21st century.

In any event, I do complain about millennials quite a bit but realize there are many who are doing just fine. I recognize that those who are having trouble are being indoctrinated to hate our country and that they grew up as the head of household during the most impressionable years of their life. I hope somebody beside me starts pointing this out…

The Problem With Millennials
